3 Inches of Blood were a Canadian heavy metal band known for their high-energy fusion of traditional heavy metal, power metal, and thrash influences. Formed in 2000 in Vancouver, the band gained a dedicated following thanks to their soaring vocals, galloping riffs, and fantasy-driven lyrics, drawing comparisons to metal legends like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Manowar. Their music was defined by dual vocalists, with Cam Pipes’ high-pitched wails complementing Jamie Hooper’s harsh screams, creating a distinctive and powerful sound.
Their breakthrough album Advance and Vanquish (2004) featured fan-favourite tracks like "Deadly Sinners" and "Destroy the Orcs", cementing their place in the modern metal scene. Over the years, they toured extensively, sharing stages with bands like Slayer, Motörhead, and Trivium, while continuing to release acclaimed albums, including Fire Up the Blades (2007) and Long Live Heavy Metal (2012).
