Mesmerising experience
The rhythmic and textural complexities of this beautiful performance were intriguing and drew us into a gorgeous and embracing soundscape . This is a world that is both inviting and easy to get lost in...in a good way. It almost felt like John Cage was smiling down on us at times. Thank you for creating shafts of much needed light.

Haiku Salut - Evening Show, The Library, Derby - 14th October 2023
Amazing and unusual performance!
This was a truly unique gig. I was amazed by the skills on display from each of the members of the group who would all switch instruments regularly — sometimes several times per song. Haiku Salut are amazing and well worth seeing. The yuse of the lamps in place of regular stage lighting made the whole thing really memorable.
Now a note on the venue: The only reason I've given this review four stars rather than five is because the venue allowed people to constantly come in and out of the room during the performance, presumably to buy drinks. This wouldn't normally be an issue of course but this was a seated gig and the door people were using was on the side of the performance space so this was all a bit distracting. You wouldn't see this is a theatre performance so I'd advise Notts Contemporary to operate similar rules. Other than that it was great!
