Autechre is an electronic music duo from Rochdale, England, consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth. Known for their complex, experimental sound, they are pioneers of IDM (Intelligent Dance Music). Their debut album Incunabula (1993) helped define the genre, followed by Tri Repetae (1995) and LP5 (1998), which solidified their avant-garde reputation. Autechre's recent release, SIGN (2020), continues their exploration of abstract rhythms and textures. They have performed at major electronic festivals like Sonar and supported acts like Aphex Twin, earning a dedicated global following for their boundary-pushing music.
