Additional information

Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes are proud to present Brain Fog - a psych rock spectacle co-headlined by Sunset Images (Mexico) & DAIISTAR (Texas) with an ambition to showcase the breadth of the genre from the tortured and distorted to the dreamy and ethereal. Also featuring in this first rendition shall be local acts Rothmans, Windshake, TV Wife, and a special performance from Cardiff's Waterpistol.

Sunset Images

Multi-instrumentalist Samuel Osorio’s fervent guitar and bass performance and tortured vocals have established a core around which chaos is order and volume is paramount, and the final results stand in sharp contrast to the laid back expectations conjured by the band’s moniker. The foundational influences here are krautrock, punk and shoegaze but Sunset Images takes the ideas embodied by those genres and drives them through a wall into a realm that entertains only their noisiest inclinations.Throughout its career, the band has toured globally encompassing South and North America, Europe and Asia. Performing at international Festivals such as Dunk! (Belgium), SpaceFest! (Poland), Out in the Streets (New York), FreakOut Festival (Seattle) Psyched! Fest (San Francisco) Festival Integraciones (Lima, Perú) Festival Hipnosis (Mexico) and has shared stages with notorious acts like Mogwai, Boris, Godflesh, God is an Astronaut, Bo Ningen, Acid Mothers Temple, HIDE, Nadja, The Asteroid No. 4, Rakta, Deafkids and many many more…

DAIISTAR

DAIISTAR is a Noise-Pop/Alt Indie band formed in Austin, Texas in the spring of 2020. The band takes their inspiration from the neo psychedelic era of the 80s and 90s (The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen 3, early Primal Scream) and pulls it into the future with modulating synthesizers, heavy guitars, bouncing bass lines, and spiraling hooks, creating a narcotic blend of noise and melody. DAIISTAR recently recorded their first studio album produced by Alex Maas of The Black Angels and engineered by James Petralli of White Denim. The band has signed to UK based label Fuzz Club Records, with whom they released their debut album GOOD TIME which they will be celebrating on this tour.

Rothmans

Post something loud band. Bristol via New Zealand

Windshake

Emerging from the cultural melting pot of Bristol's vibrant underground scene, WINDSHAKE embodies the unbounded frontiers of musical exploration. This audacious six-piece collective rejects conformity, drawing inspiration from the raw essence of youth culture to craft music that plumbs the depths of the human mind. Their debut album, 'Waking Moment,' a fusion of Psych-folk and distinct songwriting, laid the foundation for their forthcoming musical odyssey.

Waterpistol

This place will serve as a garden for another civilisation, your cha nce to evacuate is to leave with us. Prepare yourselves for entry into the evolutionary level above humankind, synonymous with the kingdom of heaven. Welcome to Waterpistol.Taking inspiration from the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Marty Robbins and the Mamas and Papas, singing guitarist Aaron Tormey started writing for a project that would later become rock 'n' roll collective Waterpistol. Reflecting his vision, the six-piece combines the celestial makeup of 90s shoegaze with the late 60s unfolding of folk, jazz, and the blues. The band's first single 'Living in a Dream' is a dream-like and visceral track with an underlying tongue-in-cheek delivery, referring to the grind of the 9 to 5.TV Wife3-piece TV Wife formed in mid 2023, having spent the year honing their post-hardcore sound ready for it to be unleashed on the world. Get ready for a whirlwind of a performance, with aggressively intense energy driving forward a perfectly executed representation of the genre
