Chip’s initial rise was meteoric taking home both Best UK Newcomer and Best Hip Hop Act at the MOBO Awards in 2008. His debut album I Am Chipmunk was released the following year which was one of the first major commercial success for a grime artist as it hit No. 2 in the charts.
