About Cold Cave
Ultra cool dark wave band Cold Cave merge blistering fast heavily distorted guitars with impassioned vocals and a nasty synth sound.
Having been out of the spotlight, they make their return with a massively exciting upcoming UK date. See them head line at Dingwalls in London on Friday 2nd of November 2018.
Cold Cave were formed by Wesley Eisold in 2007 following his work fronting the incredible hardcore bands Give Up The Ghost and Some Girls. Whereas his previous work had been primarily guitar driven, Eisold wanted to explore electronic instrumentation. The band centres around Eisold, who is joined by a loose collective of various contributors.
"I struggle with the word 'member' because there are no 'members' of Cold Cave. It's just me. I've collaborated with many people. Some were extremely worthwhile and others were extremely worthless, and I've come to the point where I'm more comfortable doing things by myself.”
After making releases through various essential labels such as Dais Records, Hospital Productions and What’s Your Rupture? Plus his very own Heartworm Press, Eisold signed Cold Cave to Matador Records who released debut album Love Comes First in 2009. This was followed two years later by the amazing album Cherish The Light Years. Third album entitled Sunflower has always been on the cards but has yet to get a release.
