BAFTA award-winning history professor David Olusoga also works as a writer, broadcaster, and filmmaker. He has presented such popular shows as The World's War: Forgotten Soldiers of Empire, Black and British: A Forgotten History, A House Through Time and Britain's Forgotten Slave Owners.
Olusoga was first included in the Powerlist, a ranking of the 100 most influential Black Britons, in 2019. In 2020 he was elevated to the eighth position and was awarded the President's Medal by the British Academy in the same year.
