Beginning as the result of a chance, shoeless acid-trip chance meeting, Dead Pretties quickly gravitated around their one common interest of making music. Dropping out of their respective musical colleges at 17 and instead choosing London’s smaller, more weathered venues as their musical institutions, the London-based three-piece soon set about making noise together wherever and whenever possible.
They have just released their debut single ‘Social Experiment’ which captures band’s cloistered impassivity towards the outside world in just three fiery minutes. Speaking on ‘Social Experiment’, the band state:
“It seems people of a similar age to us are so focused on becoming what others want them to be, they distort their own identity in order to be accepted into the herd; the pack. We are a generation of sheep. It’s fucking sad.”
