Seandrea Sledge began life as somewhat of a drifter. Forced to constantly move as a child after her parent’s separation, but always to another poor neighbourhood, Sledge began to develop her creative talents as a means to escape. She keenly pursued music and showed early promise as a singer.
As her reputation grew she became good friends with Chicago rapper Sasha Go Hard and Sledge appeared on the track I Ain’t No Hitta in 2012. The pair collaborated the next year on the track Ghost. She also worked with other Chicago rapper Mikey Dollaz on their joint mixtape Business N Pleasure. By the start of 2014 she had independently released her own mixtape which featured the work or rapper Common.
Her break came in Spring of 2014 with the release of her remix of rapper Nicki Monaj and Lil Herb’s track Chiraq which prompted many to state it was better than the original. By the end of the year she had signed to major label Interscope Records who released her debut EP Call It What You Want in 2015. Her debut album No Hard Feelings was released in July on 2016.
