I have had the pleasure of listening to Emiliana's music for about 15 years or so, and this was the first time I had seen her live. Sometimes it is a bit of a disappointment when you hear a musician live whose work you enjoy recorded. Well, that was not the case with Emiliana. She blew through the roof of my expectations. The first impression when she came on stage was that she is obviously very beautiful (I knew that from album covers etc of course), but she exuded a beautiful aura from the way she spoke to the crowd, they way she dressed and her distinct mannerisms of gently touching her neck ( as if to feel the notes) and swayed to the music. She purveys an emotion and deep sense of feeling to her songs which really connected the audience with her message. She inspires a feeling of integrity and wellbeing that ,to me at least, seems such a rare quality these days. The new album is amazing, first time I had heard many of these songs, but every one displayed the qualities I would expect from such a lovely lovely voice and lady. The Colorists were excellent also, and the collaboration between them and Emiliana is inspirational. They clearly enjoyed their work together, and Emiliana's short stories about their work together were delightful and evocative - especially of them all racing to the airport to escape a storm. It was a really wonderful evening, a great venue as always, utterly and completely loved it. Emiliana please come back soon!!! Ian
