About Estrons
Raucously exciting new band Estrons are causing a storm with their punchy politically charged new sound. Ferocious and influenced by the energy of garage Rock with the creative anger of riot grrl, Estrons are set for big things in 2019.
The word Estrons is Welsh for Aliens. A very apt name considering the nature of the band. They formed after a chance meeting on a beach of the Canadian-Swede singer Taliesyn Kallström with guitarist Rhodri Daniel, drummer Hugh Parry and James Keeley on bass.
The band have enjoyed massive airplay support from Annie Mac, Phil Taggart and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson and Mark Radcliffe on BBC 6 Music plus Alex Baker on Kerrang!
Hit single Make A Man explores gender politics."It’s the story of a heterosexual female’s battle between desiring a man, whilst simultaneously finding herself having little respect for his self-important ego and misogynistic attitude towards women. She retaliates by objectifying him to herself. ” explains Källström.
