About Finbar Furey

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, storyteller and actor Finbar Furey has announced an intimate UK & Ireland tour, that will see the iconic musician visit venues across UK and Ireland next year.

The Irish folk legend, who has left his mark on the music of Ireland for more than four decades as the lead singer and uilleann pipes player for the Fureys, has always been at the forefront of musical change. His long career has also included film & TV appearances, including a singing role in the 2002 Martin Scorsese film ‘Gangs of New York’ as well as the award-winning 2016 film ‘The Wild Goose Lodge’, for which he wrote and played the music.

A great mellow evening

Loved Finbar’s anecdotes and background information concerning the members of his backing band. A great chilled evening. Great songs, great singing and a superb venue at the Union Chapel. The evening and Finbar’s singing just exceeded all of my expectations. Unforgettable.

Hi. We had a lovely time Finbar was great. A bit dissapointed he only played his pipes once ! And as mentioned on the ticket there was no surprise artist on stage with him ? The venue was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly Thankyou
