MSSV is a genre-defying, post-genre rock trio known for its unpredictable, adventurous sound. Composed of guitarist Mike Baggetta, drummer Stephen Hodges, and bassist Mike Watt, the band blends the raw energy of a punk power trio with the ethereal qualities of experimental rock. Their unique approach pushes the boundaries of genre, and with each release, they continue to reinvent their musical identity.

The band’s chemistry is unmistakable, with each member’s contribution reinforcing their post-genre ethos. While Baggetta wrote all the songs with his bandmates in mind, their live performances are marked by a sense of unpredictability and a willingness to break down and reassemble their songs, creating a thrilling, improvisational experience. Their second album Human Reaction also features guest appearances from musical icons like J Mascis, Petra Haden, and Nels Cline, further amplifying the album's wide-reaching influence.
