Bullet For My Valentine & Trivium
Two rock legends team up for a mighty co-headline tour
The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour sees Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their iconic albums The Poison and Ascendancy, with both bands playing their records in full. And now, an extra date has been added at Utilita Arena Cardiff which takes place on Monday 27th January 2025. “It’s incredible to think of the impact the albums had when they came out in 2005. They were both like bolts of lightning. Both bands grew up independently of each other in different countries and separately from any movement or scene but both shared a common love of melodic heavy metal at the core; and both had similar meteoric rises right out of the gate.” – Matt Heafy
Welsh metalcore titans Bullet For My Valentine exploded with the release of their debut album The Poison in 2005. It was the start of a career which has seen the band sell a staggering 3 million records worldwide, winning Best British Band three times at the Kerrang! Awards.
Floridian thrash masters Trivium redefined the genre when they unleashed Ascendancy twenty years ago. Winner of the Album of the Year Award at the 2005 Kerrang! Awards, it would later be ranked No. 11 in Metal Hammer's The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the 21st Century list.
