The Osmonds arrived on the scene at the beginning of the 70s, and soon grew to become a defining band of the decade.
Originally a barbershop quarter including brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay; they were later joined by younger siblings Jimmy and Donny Osmond to complete the classic line up.
The Osmonds would go on to sell over 77 million records, release five Gold certified records Osmonds, Homemade, Phase III, Crazy Horses and The Plan, plus Silver selling albums Love Me For A Reason and The Proud One.
The early 70s would also see Donny team up with sister Marie, initially as a pop duo before becoming stars of the small screen with the wildly popular television series The Donny & Marie Show.
Growing from child stars to teen idols; the perfect pop pairing would become international stars with hit single "Morning Side of the Mountain", plus covers of "I'm Leaving It Up to You” and “Deep Purple”.
Whilst working with The Osmonds and the Donny & Marie duet, Donny was also working as a solo artist, scoring several Gold certified records of his own. His best-selling titles include The Donny Osmond Album, To You with Love, Donny, Portrait of Donny, Too Young, Alone Together, A Time for Us and Donny.
His popularity has grown even past the turn of the millennium, with 2002 album Somewhere in Time becoming his biggest hit to date, reaching Platinum sales, with further success of records What I Meant to Say (Silver), Love Songs of the '70s (Gold) and latest LP Start Again.
