Mark Tremonti began pursuing a solo project in 2010, seeking a heavier sound to his previous work with the multi-platinum-selling post-grunge group Creed and the lauded hard-rock band Alter Bridge. The project soon expanded to become a full band originally including rhythm guitarist Eric Friedman, plus bassist Wolfgang Van Halen and drummer Garrett Whitlock. The latter members would be eventually replaced by Tanner Keegan (bass) and Ryan Bennett (drums).
Tremonti’s debut album All I Was dropped in 2012, featuring hits like "Wish You Well" and "So You're Afraid." This album set the tone for their signature sound, combining aggressive guitar work with melodic hooks.
In 2015, Tremonti released Cauterize which included the singles "Another Heart" and "Flying Monkeys". An instant hit with fans and critics alike, the sophomore record would break the US Top 20 and rise high in the Top 40 in the UK. Further titles have included Dust (2016), A Dying Machine (2018) and Marching in Time (2021).
Next year sees the release of the new album The End Will Show Us How via Napalm Records. Including the lead single “Just Too Much”, the twelve-track record sees a massive evolution in sound as the expert guitarist pushes boundaries and explores new sonic avenues.
