A collaboration between Gigantic Tickets and Alchemistic music borne out of a shared commitment to live music aims to provide a platform for new talent as well as showcase the best of the vibrant music scene in their home city of Nottingham.
Moonshine Sessions launches on 10 January with Sleaford Mods performing tracks from their self-titled EP. Other artists that have recorded sessions include, Banfi, Husky Loops, Daisy Godfrey, Juga-Naut, No Hot Ashes, Titus Andronicus with more to come in the coming weeks!
Jason Williamson, Sleaford Mods, said: “Moonshine operates with the local landscape in mind. It doesn’t just brush up to the more established names. It’s clearly connected to Nottingham and I like that. They know their business.”
The joint venture between Gigantic Tickets, Alchemistic music and Jake Bugg’s manager, Jason Hart has given a diverse mix of artists the opportunity to connect to a wider audience.
The completely free ‘no strings attached’ session in a state-of-the-art studio working with top industry professionals would be equivalent to thousands of pounds worth of recording, sound-mixing and video editing services.
Artists have full control of the session where they record one of their own tracks and a cover of their choice working with the inhouse team at the Moonshine studio. The tracks are uploaded on Moonshine along with a bio and a live ticket link and shared with Gigantic’s subscriber database of music savyy users.
New content will be uploaded regularly on www.themoonshinesessions.com with a spotlight on a different artist each week shared in the Gigantic newsletter.
Artists interested in recording a Moonshine session should contact the team via the website.
