About Night Flowers
Dream pop band Night Flowers have managed to create quite a stir in just a few short years with their heart swelling enrapturing music that blends shoegaze with indie rock. Each song a giddy head rush of exhilarating guitar riffs and sweet melancholia.
Having already become darlings of the music press, firm favourites on the international festival circuit and big in Japan, the Humberside / Massachusetts quintet are set for a bright future as fans eagerly await their rumoured debut album.
The dream team consists of charismatic drummer Night Flowers Zebedee Budworth, dapper Chris Hardy who joins enigmatic Greg Ullyart on guitar duties, the latter of whom shares vocals with beguiling singer Sophia Petitt and bassist Paul Beal.
Night Flowers tickets are on sale through Gigantic right now. Catch them when they headline at Komedia Studio Bar at Brighton on Thursday 14th of February 2019.
Their first release was the double A-side 7” Single Beds / North. The former a bright euphoric awakening with the second track a confident build to a huge crescendo and the two tracks immediately caught the attention of those in the know as a band to watch.
Spurred on by the positive reaction, the band hit the studio to produce their eponymously titled debut EP. The 10” was released through Dirty Bingo Records and promoted by high quality videos directed by Ryan Hansom and Darren Topliss plus a riotous launch party.
Their break came with the release of the single Sleep. The song would build on the exhilarating pop sensibilities the band were becoming known for, complete with driving guitars, yearning vocals and a catchy chorus. It would be the song that pushed them into regular prominent radio airplay and enlarge their burgeoning fan base.
The band were to discover that they were amassing an audience in Japan, and following the releases of their initial recordings they embarked on an exciting tour which they used as an opportunity to shoot the video for the single Glow In The Dark, the physical release of which was an actual glow in the dark vinyl 7”.
This year has seen the release of their long awaited and critically acclaimed debut album Wild Notion which they celebrated with a sold-out launch gig at The Lexington in their adopted home of London.
