Q. Do you post out tickets if I book online?
No, if you book online then your tickets are sent to the email address that you specified when making the booking. We don’t post tickets.
Q. Do I have to book or can I just turn up?
You can just turn up and you will probably get to skate, however if you want to be guaranteed a particular time, especially on busy days, then we recommend that you book in advance online.
Q. What’s the maximum age for a Child Ticket?
Children’s tickets are for ages 4 to 16. Children must be accompanied by an adult although the adult doesn’t have to skate.
Q. Are family tickets available?
Yes, family tickets are available. Families must be at least one adult and one child.
Q. If I have booked tickets and can’t make it - what happens?
Tickets for Peterborough Christmas Ice Rink are like cinema tickets, no exchange or refunds, if you cannot make it, we suggest that you try and give your tickets to someone else.
Q. Is it suitable for young children?
Peterborough Christmas Ice Rink has a special supervision team specifically trained in this area and our rink is suitable for children of 4 years and upwards. We have a selection of twin blade skates and helmets for small children but suggest you bring your own cycling helmet, gloves and other equipment if you can. Please note. Some small children can be overwhelmed by the sight and sound of the ice rink and may feel uncomfortable if this is the case, please contact a member of staff who will do all they can to make your visit enjoyable.
Q. Can I bring a wheelchair onto the ice?
Yes, we actively encourage less abled visitors onto the ice and provide full wheelchair access. Please contact a member of staff should you require any assistance
Q. Do you provide skates and what is your largest size?
Skates are provided and included in the price. Our largest size is 14.
Q. Are you insured if I fall and injure myself?
Peterborough Christmas Ice Rink is a fully insured event. This is an Ice Rink and there is a strong likelihood that you may fall. You skate at your own risk, we cannot be responsible for injuries sustained as a result of ice skating. If you are a novice or unconfident skater we recommend you bring gloves, a cycling helmet, knee and elbow pads.
Q. Is there food available at the venue?
Peterborough Christmas Ice Rink is located in Cathedral Square with a wide variety of restaurants and cafes nearby. There will also be a selection of Christmas themed cabins which will serve warm drinks and food.
Q. Is there an admission fee if I’m not skating?
There is no charge for entry to the rink for non-skaters.
Q. Is there parking at the venue?
There is ample parking near the ice rink. Go to www.yourparkingspace.co.uk for more information.
Q. Can I bring my own skates?
Yes you are welcome to bring your own skates.
Q. Do you provide safety equipment?
We recommend helmets, knee pads, elbow pads and gloves while skating, particularly for novice or unconfident skaters. Gloves are highly recommended for all skaters.
Q. What clothing should I wear?
You are advised to wear warm light clothing if possible. It’s quite normal for there to be some surface water on the ice so bring a change of socks just in case and be sure to wear gloves while skating.
