RUSSELL WATSON - Accompanied by MIKE MORAN - PART OF THE  RUSSELL WATSON MAGNIFICENT BUILDINGS CONCERT SERIES.

Come join Multi-Award Winning tenor RUSSELL WATSON accompanied by world renowned Pianist/arranger/writer MIKE MORAN in the magnificent setting of Brecon Cathedral, Brecon, Powys.  This will be a magical evening which should not be missed.

Russell Watson never imagined he would someday be hailed as one of the world’s greatest classical singers. Since being described by the New York Times as a performer “who sings like Pavarotti and entertains the audience like Sinatra” he subsequently released ten studio albums, each one receiving more critical acclaim than the last. His debut album ‘THE VOICE’ shot up the UK charts where he held the number one spot for a world record 52 weeks. At the same time, Russell held the number one spot in the USA, making him the first British male to hold the accolade of a simultaneous transatlantic number one. His second studio album ‘Encore’ soon followed, it became an even greater success selling almost two million copies worldwide. During this period Russell was rewarded with various awards including four Classical Brits.

A very special evening  and a real exclusive Four-time Brit Classical Award winner Russell Watson, accompanied by his pianist, Mike Moran. The world-renowned tenor will be performing a special show with classic songs old and new, together with a selection of hits from his illustrious career. A truly spectacular concert experience is in the offering in the heart of mid Wales.

Russell has sold more than 7 million albums and performed for Her Majesty The Queen, The Pope and two US Presidents .

Captivating to watch and enchanting to listen to, Russell continues to wow audiences with his enigmatic and entertaining live performances.

It just doesn’t get any better.

The New York Times described a recent performance thus: “He sings like Pavarotti, and entertains the audience like Sinatra”.

PLUS SPECIAL GUEST: NANCY MAY

Nancy May is an Essex based classical crossover soprano who trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and has now gone on to forge her own career performing in and around the Essex area, with many concerts in the diary for 2024.

Nancy is passionate about supporting charities and has been humbled to sing each year at the Grenfell memorial service with the most recent at Westminster Abbey. Charities supported include Farleigh Hospice, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Royal British Legion and more recently ‘FaNs Network’, a charity helping care homes throughout Essex.

Nancy also teaches singing, and her lessons are in high demand due to her unique style of using singing as a way to build personal confidence.

Throughout 2020 & 2021 (During Lockdown) she performed online concerts via Facebook, these concerts saw thousands joining her each Friday evening and helped Nancy gain an audience from all over the world.

Last year Nancy released her debut album ‘With Love’ and later in the year an EP titled, ‘Why Not’. The EP saw Nancy take some more modern songs and create a new unique style, whilst remaining true to her classical background.

Nancy will be releasing more music this year which can be found on all download platforms including Spotify and iTunes. You can keep up to date with Nancy’s voice and concerts via her website nancy-may.co.uk and through her social media @nancymaysoprano.
