Raised in a creative family, Brookes was encouraged to explore music from an early age. He soon became enamoured with playing the guitar and discovered a talent for song writing. Immersing himself into the South London folk scene, he quickly became a leading light and began to develop a following.

His arrival was announced when he self released his debut album entitles Kairos, which is Greek for ‘Opportune Moment’, through Bandcamp. Produced by Chris Hughes (Tears for Fears, Robert Plant, Paul McCartney), the record delighted the critics and attracted a growing audience earning him high profile support slots with the likes of Joan Armatrading, Ray Davies and Newton Faulkner.
