Massive jazz fusion ensemble Snarky Puppy enjoy massive worldwide fame topping the jazz charts all over the globe.

Led by bassist, composer and producer Michael League, the band is a huge troupe of near 40 musicians who are known collectively as ‘The Fam’ when working together on live performances and recording. The band formed in Denton, Texas, during 2004 whilst most members were studying at University Of Texas.

They have a huge back catalogue of excellent work which includes eleven studio albums, the latest of which is their stunning record Culcha Vulcha.

They have announced a tour which takes them to O2 Academy Bournemouth, Rock City in Nottingham, O2 Academy Bristol, O2 Academy Oxford, O2 Apollo Manchester and Glasgow’s Barrowland.

Further releases include Amkeni, Family Dinner - Volume 1, We Like It Here, Sylva and Family Dinner - Volume 2.

Band leader League featured in the 2010 book "The New Face of Jazz: An intimate look at today's living legends and the artists of tomorrow" by Cicily Janus. Janus enthuses about the genre-bending band’s style of jafunkadansion and describes League’s band as “one of the most inventive in sound and funk since Maynard Ferguson's fusion years."
