Amazing band, lousy venue
The Chris Robinson Brotherhood were, as expected a brilliant band to go and see with almost studio quality sound and an amazing presence. However, the venue ULU was shockingly over crowded. It seemed that people were turning up to watch the main act only to find huge queues at the bar and barely enough room to stand let alone see the stage. Advertised as 7.30 doors with a support act, we arrived at 8pm to find the main act already a few songs into their set.
If the band had played a larger venue and the set times advertised the night would have been more enjoyable. The only reason we stayed as long as we did was the band as we'd have left early because of the venue.
