The Milk re-invent the classic R&B sound by gleaning ideas from electronica and Hip Hop. You can catch them The Garage Glasgow, Bristol Fleece in May and then Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar at Brighton, Islington Assembly Hall in London, Mama Roux’s at Birmingham and Sheffield’s Plug during June 2018.

The band is made up of Rick Nunn on lead vocals, guitar, keys; Mitch Ayling playing drums, vocals and also on keys; Dan Legresley providing lead guitar and vocals; plus Luke Ayling on bass guitar. Having previously all been school friends from Essex the four were originally a punk band before revaluating their direction and began a rediscovery of classic R&B which prompted a massive change in their style.

Blending their new influences with Hip Hop, Dub and Dance, The Milk have continued to work hard gigging wherever they can and built up a loyal following. Their real break came in 2014 with the release of their single Deliver Me. Launched as a free download and limited 7”, they benefitted from massive airplay on BBC Radio 6 by Huey Morgan, Lauren Laverne and Giles Peterson.
