The Wailers Tickets

The Wailers are the most important reggae band in the world. Formally a ska vocalist band, they have gone on to sell 250 million albums worldwide and play to an estimated 24 million people.

The band were originally created in 1963 by Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh and Robert Nesta Bob Marley and went through a variety of names including The Teenagers, The Wailing Rudeboys and The Wailing Wailers before settling on the shortened moniker The Wailers.

Following the departure of Bunny and Peter in 1974 Bob Marley took charge of the band with whom he recorded thirteen of the most important reggae albums of all time.

Following the sad demise of Bob Marley, the band made the brave decision to carry on working. They are currently comprised of drummer Aston Barett Jr, rhythm guitarist Melvin Glover with Audley “Chizzy” Chisholm on lead guitar, Dwayne “Danglin” Anglin providing vocals, keys by Chaka Taylor and Aston “Family Man” Barrett on bass.

They have just announced headline shows at Nottingham’s Rock City and O2 Academy Bristol during March 2019.
