Extremely interesting and informative
Firstly the venue; Union Chapel, Islington is amazing and the staff exceptionally helpful. On the administration side the only downside was that the book signing was at the end of the presentation and as I had to leave as soon as he finished speaking my book was not signed. As for the actual presentation one cannot fault William Dalrymple for his ability to present a vast amount of facts and information in a short period of time and still make it interesting and leaving you wanting more. So a worthwhile way to spend an evening in the presence of an acknowledged expert on India.

Eloquent and well pitched
An eminent historian who wove a forgotten story. I'm Indian and have lived in India but much of this was unknown to me. A truly inspiring talk, recounted giving context and delivered with humour, making the subject matter very accessible. Highly recommended!
